This is a free educational calculator, and it is built to stay private. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Here is exactly what happens with your data.
The numbers you enter
The age, savings, spending, and income you type are used only to run your estimate. They are stored in your session on our server, linked only to an anonymous session cookie and never to your identity, and they are discarded after about two hours of inactivity. Nothing you enter is sold, shared, or used for anything other than showing you a result.
How we count visitors
To know roughly how many people use the site, we record one anonymous, one-way fingerprint per visit: a hash of the current month together with your IP address and browser type. We never store your raw IP address or browser, and no cookie is involved in this. Because the month is mixed into the hash, the fingerprint changes every month, so it cannot be linked back to you or used to follow you over time. All we keep are these anonymous monthly counts and which page was viewed.
Cookies
We use one essential first-party cookie so the calculator works, remembering your inputs while you move between pages during a visit. It is not used to track you and it is not shared with anyone. We set no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your data. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't track you across other websites, and there are no third-party analytics or ad networks embedded here.
Not financial advice
The estimates here are educational and are not financial, tax, or investment advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your retirement.
